1.24.01 I've been surfing the web using Lynx lately, which is beyond retro for me, since my first browser experience was with Mosaic, in 1993. I'm really enjoying the text-only browser. It's interesting to go to sites I'm familiar with and experience them in "unimedia." (Unimedium?).It makes me much more conscious of the quality of the writing. I'm now even more opposed to people who use graphics, without "alt" tags, in navigation bars. In a text-based browser, all one sees is a series of mystery links. And then one leaves.

1.22.01 The internet may or may not live up to all the financial claims people make for its applications, but it is definitely the coolest thing in the world when you need to look up, oh, say, how to get a big puddle of melted plastic out of your oven. For the record, I'd recommend removing all removable parts and applying a good dousing of acetone (do this outdoors), in conjunction with a putty knife and some fine-grade steel wool.

1.4.01 Suddenly this is very useful....
